We are a small, privately owned and run, 17 bedroom hotel in the heart of Sidmouth and are looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our team. We have an onsite hotel restaurant where we serve breakfast and dinner only and are currently operating 2 service times for each to adhere to social distancing guidelines. We pride ourselves on the service we provide to our guests who expect the highest standards from us in all areas of the hotel operation. We have an excellent chef and so need to provide the service to match! Key activities include:
· Responsible for preparing breakfast beverages for service staff to take to guests
· Assisting the chef in food preparation as and when needed
· Washing all plates and dishes, polishing glasses all glasses and cutlery before putting away
· Cleaning down the kitchen at the end of shift including the chefs cooking area, dishwashing area and food preparation areas
· Ad hoc duties such as recycling, taking bins out and mopping the floor
The cleanliness of the kitchen will be your responsibility so a dedicated and motivated individual is required.
The shifts are typically 7.30am – 10.30am and 6pm – 10pm although vary depending on how busy we are.
We are a family run business and so we want friendly, conscientious and polite individuals to deliver impeccable cleaning standards in line with the rest of the hotel. The value of a good kitchen porter/assistant is often under estimated but we feel the role is incredibly important to our success!
We are a seasonal hotel but the majority of our staff come back each year, we run from March to November.

Part-time hours: 10 - 20 per week
Salary: £6.00-£10.00 per hour
