Teaching Assistant (SEMH)
Location: Tunbridge Wells, Kent
Full-time, Permanent Salary £18,000-£19,000 (depending on experience)
Pathway Education is working with a “Good” rated secondary school in Tunbridge Wells, Kent that is looking for a full-time teaching assistant to work with young people that need social and emotional support (SEMH). Students work in small class sizes and often require a nurturing and supportive approach to help them stay focused academically and socially.
The school is looking for a proactive, confident and resilient teaching assistant that can work well with class teachers and support pupils 1:1 and in small study groups. Full SEMH training and CPD will be provided by the school and there are career progression opportunities for outstanding candidates. There is good public transport links and secure parking at the school.
Suitable Candidates
· Will have previous experience in the classroom or SEND schools (or somebody that has been working with young people as a youth worker, mentor, sports coach or social worker)
· Will be flexible, proactive, reliable, patient and have a good sense of humour
· Can work Monday to Friday (8.30am – 4.00pm)
