6.00am-2.00pm or 7.00am-3.00pm but can be flexible
JOB SUMMARY
Maintaining cleanliness in our manufacturing facility and ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for our employees and visitors. Your primary responsibility will be to perform a variety of cleaning tasks, following established protocols and maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cleaning and Sanitisation: Perform routine cleaning tasks, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and polishing surfaces. Ensure all areas are free of debris, spills, and waste. Disinfect and sanitize surfaces, restrooms, common areas, and high-touch points regularly.
- Waste Management: Properly handle and dispose of waste and recyclables, according to established procedures. Empty waste bins, replace liners, and maintain cleanliness in waste collection areas.
- Restroom Maintenance: Clean and sanitise restrooms thoroughly, ensuring a fresh and welcoming atmosphere. Replenish supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels as needed. Monitor restroom areas for cleanliness and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Kitchen/Canteens: Clean and sanitise all kitchen and canteen areas thoroughly.
- Floor Care: Maintain clean and presentable floors by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming. Perform spot cleaning and remove stains when necessary.
- Equipment and Supply Management: Safely and responsibly use cleaning equipment and tools such as mops, brooms, vacuum cleaners, etc. Report any malfunctioning equipment or supply needs to the supervisor in a timely manner.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a hazard-free environment for employees and visitors. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and cleaning agents in accordance with safety standards.
- Assist in setting up and organising meeting rooms, as and when required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience as a Cleaner or similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact professionally with team members and visitors.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations and the ability to work in compliance with them.
